Double The Deals For You

Double The Deals For You.

Due to competition between the two principal and giant hotel booking aggregators, I can now display deals from both the competing giants which both are my partners. It is much trouble to add retrospectively, though.

The deals from Booking dot com are traditionally shown as a vertical banner for each city. Agoda dot com’s smaller banners, or what they are called dynamic banners, are shown as a sample above (circled in red).

Adding one more set of deals not only doubles the options and choices, ideally, but some frequent travelers have their own preferred login credentials or preferred middle men. Deals aren’t a precise science and it depends on the prevailing occupancy, demand and season, I speculate. Is controlled by the hotels according to their own algo and formula. In fact some cities, deals wont show up for some unknown technical reasons. I shall ask them at their webinar this Friday.

If no hotels are shown on the banner, just click on it and it will take you to the city. I am adding the second option to more cities as we go along. Use the generic Hotel Search (http://www.mycen.my/hotel/) and it should unravel any hidden deals or flash prices. I complained about some banners not rotating and they now have added up down arrow keys to cycle through manually.

Thank you to regular users for your valued support and I hope to improve your experience and value. Please PM me or e-mail me, should you have questions. Thank you. Hotel Deals Finder Index is here: http://www.mycen.my/hotel-deals-finder/

Krabi

Krabi.

Krabi Town and Province on the South Western part of Thailand is an area characterized by craggy, sheer limestone cliffs, dense mangrove forests, and more than a hundred offshore islands.

Some of its most popular beach destinations include the Phi Phi Islands, which jut from the sea like giant rainforested boulders, and Railay Beach, accessible only by boat and a prominent rock-climbing spot. Koh Hong or Hong Island is another one of the more popular islands.

The bustling town is another sun and sea destination popular with Malaysian and international tourists. Picture used with permission from my friend Pamela Lee (https://www.facebook.com/pamela.lee.71653318) who visited Krabi recently. Pic of where she was at Phi Phi Island.

Krabi is a bustling town with a bewildering choice of hotels. Find a good hotel deal in Krabi here:

Let’s Go Cameron’s

Let’s Go Cameron’s.

A ball of hydrangea in front of the the lake in front of the Lakehouse Resort, Ringlet, Cameron Highlands. This upcoming school holidays take your kids and family for some fresh strawberry jam and hot scones, served on cozy antique armchairs with fireplace in view.

Many things I experienced as a school kid such as giant rhinoceros beetles, giant Rajah Brooke birdwing butterflies and giant jungle leaves are now hard to find. You owe it to your kids to let them experience it while still possible.

Charbroiled Fresh Scallops – Da On Korean Fine Dining

My favourite seafood – a luxury treat from Datin Su Wai Fun Day. She knows her food, as she is not only a chef trained by Le Cordon Bleu Academy but is also organiser of the annual Malaysia International Gastronomy Festival or MIGF.

The Real McCoy vs The Imitation

The Real McCoy vs The Imitation.

The plate of curry rice below is real as it was eaten and captured by Ipoh resident Vasan. A sign at the original shop in Ipoh claims it has no other branches; implying all others are fake or wannabes. And there are many in Klang Valley. Famous Line Clear Nasi Kandar from Penang suffer from piracy too.

I had the counterfeit Nasi Vanggey (top pic) in Taman Permata, opposite Taman Melawati. I thought it was the real thing as they had giant wallpapers of pictures depicting the old Ipoh shop and even a write up on its history which was designed to deceive. There was another fake one in Wangsa Maju nearby. Oddly, they hate one another with the bitterness of bitter gourds.

Thank you sweet Vasanthi Mailany for going out to help establish some clarity. I must admit I did like the food from the fake one which was quite tasty, especially the coconut chutney. But I cannot go on supporting it as it is immoral. That’s the thing many Malaysians food traders don’s realise; if you can cook, build your own brand instead of ripping off others or riding on the success and hard work of others. Plus, it is cheating customers.

Not sure where to go to get the real thing? Travel to Ipoh yourself. Find a good Ipoh hotel deal here:
